Comments about Numark Mixtrack Platinum DJ Controller: I've researched a few different controllers over the past 6 months and I must say that the Numark Mixtrack Platinum was a great buy for value, functionality and quality in the entry level controller category. Out of the box, it was very easy to set up with plug and play. I dropped 50 mp3s into my Serato library and with no previous DJ experience, was able to start mixing and remixing music. I could probably do a small gig with the unit but really just wanted to add some versatility to my own production setup. I had to exchange multiple times for different reasons: the touch wheel, the knob, the headphone port, and now the firmware (I assume). I have had this last one become unresponsive and the headphone port become quiet. After multiple computers and troubleshooting, I will most likely exchange again but for something different. It's too bad because I really liked this controller. It's slim, light, attractive, easy to use.but it's not reliable.
